Victoria, a very wealthy club kid who is underage but so rich and well-connected that she can get in anywhere she likes (her father is basically an analogue of Rupert Murdoch), has a thing for Sprocket and lets him know it... but he’s put off by how forward she is. Where they ultimately connect is in the absence of their fathers - Sprocket doesn’t know his dad at all, and Victoria only sees her father infrequently. So Victoria starts singing this song and then Sprocket joins in.
